While I'm not a big fan of obnoxious distortion on the 'ukulele, a little more clean sustain would be cool.

Has anybody figured out a way to get more sustain while plugged in (or not?) with a normal 'ukulele (not a solid-body)? The compressor on my Boss ME-50 doesn't do much, and endless delays are hard to control. Every once in a while with a certain setting I can get one note to spike (a wah helps) and feedback, but it's not whatever note you like, like an electric guitar.

I'm using what I think is a K&K Big Spot SBT, through a Fishman Pro EQ Platinum and ME-50, into a stereo system (soon to be a Roland AC-90).

A couple of ideas I've had (or fantasized about):

String feedback (like Jimi). This is doubtful, because to get enough volume I think you would have out of control soundboard vibrations.

The Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone pedal. Supposedly has endless clean sustain, but I haven't heard if it works with acoustic instruments.

Thoughts, input, and experience would be appreciated. Thanks.
