Song Help Request Mystery 50's progression tune

Hello,

I have been trying to figure out both the song and artist of the instrumental tune on this video:

the melody starts around 0:38 - does anyone recognize it??

any help will be greatly appreciated!

They're using the chord changes without the lap steel solo for "Sleepwalk" by Johnny and Santo, 1959.

not too sure it is sleepwalk, the melody starts around the 0:38 mark ... sounds more like unchained melody perhaps?

closest guess is earth angel or a slide version of unchained melody

It starts out with "Sleepwalk" but then segues into a fifties-styled melody around the 0:38 point as you noted. It's definitely not "Earth Angel" or "Unchained Melody." So many fifties ballads used the I-vi-IV-V progression as a musical bed for various melodies. Whatever it is, it's a lovely tune...
