The Shai version is Bbm - Ab for the verse, then in the chorus Bb major is used on the words 'friend' and 'you.'

The Sanchez cover throws in some ambiguity. The organ part is always playing Bb - Ab. The vocals convey Bbm - Ab for the verse, but just like the Shai version the harmonies on 'friend' and 'you' in the chorus sound like Bb major.

Overall this creates a quasi-bluesy feel - sort of like using the blues scale against a dominant seventh chord, major 3rd vs. minor 3rd. Once in a while the organ part drops out, which decreases that tonal conflict. Hope this makes sense.
