In May I worked hard and long to get my YT subscriber # up to 100 before my 1 year anniversary on May 23. I made lots of videos - singing songs and doing skits, I left lots of (sincere) comments on non-subscribers' videos in hopes they would check my vids out.

It was a lot of work, but I made it to 100 before my anniversary.

Now today:
Uke vids were featured on YT and one of mine was included on the home page. My subs grew from 136 to 220 in half a day. It wasn't even a new video. Just a song I wrote in response to a video that I can't even remember!

I feel so cheap!

that's pretty awesome that you got so many subscribers due to the featured video. hopefully they'll keep rolling in!

yeah, i guess you had to work hard for those first 100. but all good. you have a new audience now. got any puppet shows in the works?

I'm still working on my first 100. Funny, that seems to be "the" goal number for a lot of noob YTers like me.

I didn't set a goal date though. I've been a member since 2006 but didn't post a single vid until May 2007, and only 3 total in 2007.

I remember my reaction to seeing my first subscriber appear...



I didn't even think about 'em until recently when they numbers suddenly started growing.

Oh well. I often don't have a plan, I just make it up as I go along.
