i'm thinkin' about one of these, but i've never played (or seen) one. is the tension more like a concert than a "standard" soprano? what strings do you use? soprano or concert? does anyone besides kamaka make a good long neck soprano? mahalo.
I have a Koaloha long neck soprano that is my main uke. Yes, the tension is exactly the same as a concert. I use worth brown strings that work for both soprano and concert sizes.
Your choice of strings might vary depending on personal taste and the uke you are playing. I happen to like Aquila Nylguts but many people prefer to use Worths or another fluoro-carbon string because they are thinner, have higher tension, and seem to stay bright a good while.
