I haven't painted a uke, but a friend painted me a guitar a few years ago. We picked it up at a market for $10 so it's not much of a guitar, but I love the look of it, and it doesn't play too badly (for someone like me who knows nothing about the guitar).

I've painted an ukulele before, but I blew it up soon after. I used regular water colors

I was thinking of painting my Lanikai soprano using Posca Paint pens. I got the idea from seeing this guy who uses them to color surfboards, come to find out he paints guitars using them as well! He even sells a DVD detailing how to use them to paint just about anything.

And no I am in know way related to him, although I wish I was I got a bunch of stuff I could have him paint.
