hawaiimusicsupply... Today's been my worst day........... ffs, I was so happy to come home and buy my new ukulele... and I knew, that it would let me down. Tbh, I'm not surprised, but that means now, I have to look for a whole new ukulele, for the price within my range....

Lexxy
09-09-2010, 11:48 PM

Believe me, I think we've all felt that way when a fantastic uke has slipped through our hands. But if you're anything like me, your attention will be focused on another one soon enough. :) And don't give up on the brand, I have a Kanile'a and so does my mom and they are wonderful and so worth the wait.

I have a K2 in Koa compensated bridge in bone, with strap pins and over 1000 hours in the sound box coming up for sale in a day or two give me a pm and I will give you first dips. I have no trouble sending it to you, I ship cars, and machining tools all over the world for work so I have no trouble boxing up a uke.

Is got the holes in the bridge already for the pickup. I can even have blue guitar drop in a pickup for you if you have no local Luther that you trust.

I think it cost $250 because I got mine as a blemish on ebay. There are some excess glue around the neck but that's all. Elderly has one right now (used) but it's overpriced.
The kayak is GREAT! :-) Thanks for asking...

www.instrumentalsavings.com has the Lanakai LK1-SC for under $600, new. That's the super-concert size....concert body with the tenor neck. I think that price may be today only....

UkuLeLesReggAe
09-13-2010, 12:36 AM

UkuLeLesReggAe
09-14-2010, 12:02 AM
I didn't Lexxy, I have called them before. But they charge a lot... I could probably get 2 of the same ukes, shipped from hawaii, for that price.. :S

I asked for a tuner, because I like to have a tuner per uke, not sure why, but it makes sense... right? :/

As long as it wasn't costing me anything over 1500 australian, I'm good

Lexxy
09-14-2010, 12:05 AM
I see i see..They have aNueNue ukes in store though, might check them out soon :)

Sorry for recommending an overpriced store :/ Then again, they seem like the only Kamaka sellers in Australia, Market Monopoly..Price inflation :/

UkuLeLesReggAe
09-14-2010, 12:14 AM
no no haha, i'm not saying anything to you. Just that their prices were a bit too high. But, by saying that, you're right. Probably the only Kamaka within australia, maybe except musiccity, so they can charge what they like?

So after 5 pages of negatetivity, it came clear.

Lexxy
09-14-2010, 12:17 AM
Nah, just feeling sorry for myself for recommending high prices :S

I see.. luckily Kanile'a came back to you in time :D

UkuLeLesReggAe

How much was the Kamaka?

UkuLeLesReggAe
09-14-2010, 02:26 AM
they didn't specify, they told me it would take around 6 weeks to make...

UkuLeLesReggAe
09-14-2010, 02:26 AM
Although, within my search, they are just a little more expensive than the Kanilea.

Lexxy
09-14-2010, 02:33 AM
Hmmm.. No idea how any of em sounds plugged in, and so far..I've only laid hands on a Kamaka before, (But i didn't know it was a Kamaka! HAHAH)
