No it is not possible to upload sound files directly to UU.

You can, however, post an inline video from YouTube, like so:



It also works for a number of other video sharing sites.

If the sound file you want to post isn't on one of those sites, I suggest that you upload it to a file sharing site like box.net. Here's an example of a link from box.net:
