View Full Version : Shoulder Strap on an Eleuke?

Just received my new jazz cutaway Eleuke via UPS today. Need to get a report done from work. Might have to call in sick tomorrow.. can't put said uke down. Much more substantial that I expected. Insanely great instrument for the price.

I have shoulder strap posts screwed into ALL of my other ukes. I just find I have much more control with a strap than without. I want to drill a strap post hole in the body of the Eleuke (front) for a shoulder strap. Need some feedback and/or advice from someone who has done this same thing with their Eleuke. Is the body integrity such that it will allow such a thing? Thanks in advance for your help.

well, there's already the strap button at the base of the uke. i just tie the other end of the strap to the headstock and that has been working just fine.

My Eleuke came with a strap peg on the back, at the base of the neck, and another over the input jack. See pics here:
