First off. Thanks to Bevan for great service and being easy to work with.

I plan to make a video over the weekend of the sound both fingerpicking / chords/ struming / slide both plugged and unplugged .

Modification 1)
He sent me large nuts in the mail. Clarify that: Uke nuts for his Backpacker so I could turn his Backpacker into a slide uke. Photos to follow of that mod.

Don't be jealous of my fret nuts.

Modification 2)
THe Protection of the wood from the strings digging into the wood. You know, Its too nice a uke to have that kind of damage and honestly its not all that great for tuning. So, I looked for turtle skin to protect it based on previous suggestions, then I'm walking around my room and I have all these harmonicas and harmonica parts. SO, I used a coverplate of a harmonica for this mod. I think it looks good and it functions well. Let me know what you think.

Strings digging into the wood.

The mod for protection

modification 3) Just for fun, some girl was asking about buying a Hello Kitty uke. I show you all you need to do to make your Uke instant cut til you puke . haha. Seriously tho. I bet if I walked around with Hello Kitty in my soundhole, ... that doesn't sound right. but, I'd say Hello Kitty would grab attention.
