This is the start of my second build. I bought this Myrtlewood gunstock blank for $75.00. It was cut in 1987. I was able to get 4 full Tenor sets out of it.

Guess what I'm a little surprised at is, I thought myrtle wood grew on trees up in your part of the country.
I expected to take a ride up one of these days and harvest some myrtle from along side the highway.
Not so, eh?

There's just something poetic about going from gun stock to ukulele.
Great build - some style advice: small dots always look elegant and shaping the bridge ends helps to 'lighten' the look. Look at the Lyon and Healy designs for inspiration...
