Mk, so Pukulele Pete started a thread about those crazy DDT neon strings the other day, and I saw them and totally fell in love. Does anyone know if A.) They make them for uke, B.) I could use those guitar strings on my uke if they're thin enough, C.) If theres ANY way to make my own. kthnxbai

I think all the strings on that site are steel.

I got some colored strings from Jasper in the UK. They aren't glow in the dark like those steel ones, but they are "cute". I have them on my banjo Uke, and my LU-21. They aren't as "full" sounding as Aquilas, but sound pretty good. You can see them a "little" bit in this picture..

Thanks.. You can see the unfinished home made resonator on the back of it in that pic. I made it from a 3/16" (if I remember right) thick piece of Mahogany. I still need to finish it though. I never put any sealer or finish on it, just built it, and started jamming, hahhah.. The resonator works very well on it, and it sounds much better since I added it.
