Michigan, it's cold as balls up here.
Mk, so Pukulele Pete started a thread about those crazy DDT neon strings the other day, and I saw them and totally fell in love. Does anyone know if A.) They make them for uke, B.) I could use those guitar strings on my uke if they're thin enough, C.) If theres ANY way to make my own. kthnxbai :D

I think all the strings on that site are steel.

I got some colored strings from Jasper in the UK. They aren't glow in the dark like those steel ones, but they are "cute". I have them on my banjo Uke, and my LU-21. They aren't as "full" sounding as Aquilas, but sound pretty good. You can see them a "little" bit in this picture..

Aloha Tudorp,
You've got quite a nice "Ohana" there....of ukes and banjo.....
MM Stan..

yeah, thanks, but ya know bud. looking at that picture, Im gonna miss my built in table to hold them all on.. hahhah

thank you all so much :) Tudorp, lovin' the banjolele, man.

Thanks.. You can see the unfinished home made resonator on the back of it in that pic. I made it from a 3/16" (if I remember right) thick piece of Mahogany. I still need to finish it though. I never put any sealer or finish on it, just built it, and started jamming, hahhah.. The resonator works very well on it, and it sounds much better since I added it.
