Hey Gang,

This maybe either a really simple, stupid question .....BUT

Can you re-string a Baritone uke (D-G-B-E tuning) to a standard tuning (G-C-E-A)?

Yes, and it sounds great. Aquila makes baritone GCEA string sets. There are also some interesting new ideas for strings and tunings on these forums lately.

If you can play standard C tuning, you can play G tuning; only difference is the chord names. :)

I have one of my bari's DGBE and one gCEA, MGM has the Aquila sets and sells a single low g string for them. Sounds great with low g.

Exactly! The standard baritone tuning (same as the top four strings on a guitar) is relatively the same as GCEA with a low G.
