Rock band for Wii and guitar hero controller

I was second in line at gamestop this morning and picked up Rock Band for the Wii for my son's birthday. It's a blast and even my wife was starting to get into drumming. It comes with a guitar, drum set with drumsticks, a microphone, and some set of cables.

Anyone know how to or if you can use the guitar hero III guitar with it? I tried and couldn't figure out how to connect using the guitar.
