Hi everyone :D

As you may know, I changed the fishing line strings on Astrid to Abdigo ones, I decided, after hearing Aquilas in person when I got Lilo to get some for Astrid, and did a comparison between the two.

Here's how she sounds on Abdigo:

And now on Aquila:

I think there is a remarkable difference, what do you all think?

I love her because she's purple! I also love that she sounds that much better with Aquila!

Thanks for looking :D

Joey, great review and thanks for posting it. No question the aquila strings are the best choice for an inexpensive uke. Astrid can really sing now, you opened her up!!

Aloha Joey,
I believe that Astrid's voice is much brighter and clearer...a significantly big difference
and improvement...now you shouldn't call astrid a cheapie no more....Thanks for the
awesome review...enjoyed and learned from the comparison....Stan..

She sounds much better. Now, remember to still give her some love once in a while. You don't want her to get jealous of the Ohana and the upcoming new addition!

I shall have to have a play with her this week, since I've pretty much neglected her since Lilo arrived, don't want jealously in the ranks. She was, after all, my first!

jeah, I got to see an angel earlier this week :D So I went to music store and found an lonely lanikai there with aquila strings... oooou my god!!!! I always blamed my lack of practise for not been able to change some chords smoothly enough. well, if I want to take a Bb then my thumb must be in the same place other side of the neck and I must press with all my strenght... its hard :D my little Uku´s strings are fishing lines I think. But the aquilas on that instrument... they pressed themselves before I could think of it :D So the litle Lanikai was the hardest thing i had to leave in to shop. I was lucky that the seller did not have any intrest of selling me that instrument. (actually, I think it was other way, I kept telling him how cool ukulele is and he just asked Really? Is it?...
Well, to the point... My aquila strings should be here any day now and Im hoping to play so much better :D Change your fishing lines people!!
