Same sound track as before, but I added a slideshow (about 20 sec in) with gold rush era images to help tell the story. The photo with the bridge is the actual location of the hanging, although the original bridge washed out in a flood a few years prior to one in the photo. The woman pictured is Lola Montez, who lived among the miners for a time, and also suffered indignities at their hands.

Aloha DougF,
Nice song, nice playing, and thanks for sharing the story through your music.....These stories need to be told, so that these atrocities will never be repeated ever again..
And thanks for mentioning her name Lola Montez...in rememberance of her hardships and atrocites against her ...May she rest in Peace, God rest her soul....

Thanks MM Stan.

Just a point of clarification, the name of the woman who was hanged was Josefa Loaiza of Sonora Mexico. However, no known image of her exists. Lola Montez was a famous actress and dancer of that era, and numerous likenesses can be found on the net, so I just used her photo as a stand-in.

That was smooth, nice playing and a nice video to boot..
