i cant sing in key xD any tips on how to?

I don't know if this is what you're looking for . . . transpose the chords to suit your vocal needs (ex. D to F or 3 half steps up). You can do it manually or use online apps that can transpose chords . . .

I always play the main chords of a song before I start to sing to see if I can get my voice matched...I know its probably not authentic singing theory but it helps...especially when the chords are higher than you should be singing. If you do that maybe it'll help a bit. Also, I just try not to let it bother me when other folks in the house are listening to me practice singing. Sometimes another set of ears really helps!

Yeah I have the same problem. I have a rather deep voice, low baritone, and most keys don't work for me. I find that I have to transpose 90% of songs to Key of G to get them to fit my range. It is a matter of finding the chord, and note, fit for your voice. I usually have to transpose melody lines 3 steps lower to fit my voice range. Keep working on it. It will come to you in time. Yeah my issue is basically the opposite...I have a high tenor pitched voice and if I don't watch it, when I'm playing my soprano uke I can sound WAY too high. I guess like everything, the more you do it the less you have to think about it.
