If a brace happens to come loose, and you take it to a luthier. He/she says "re gluing the brace will fix the problem", will the sound of the ukulele sound the same, as the expectation was before the bracing was loose and needs repair.

In short, does re glunig a brace, change the sound? eg, the tone, brightness etc.
Just aye thought.

Well if you have a loose brace it will probably be making strange noises, like a buzz, so a competent repair will bring the sound back to what it should be.

Is this the new Uke you just got?

If done properly I can't imagine it could cause any problems, but not reattaching it could cause the back or soundboard to deform which would probably ireversably change it.

Aloha Matt,
I would let a good luthier do it, because if he screws it up...he's responsible for fixing it...Which is usually many times harder than the repair itself....if you do it,
and screw up, it would be a very extremely costly mistake for you...for sure....Good Luck!!! MM Stan...
