Sadly, today baseball lost yet another ledgend, Sparky Anderson. The only manager to win the World Series in both leagues. He was a great coach and a great person. He will be missed!! I grew up watching him coach the Reds in the 70's then on to the Tigers. They don't make coaches like him anymore.

RIP Sparky

I am an avid baseball fan. Used to go to Riverfront stadium and watch the "Big Red Machine"
An awesome baseball team. Sparky Anderson lived not far from me here in SoCal, I saw him around the area a few times.
He was a true lover of baseball.

RIP Sparky.
Old school and a good guy.

He was a great personality. I heard that he suffered from Dementia at the end. Horrible end for anyone, but especially to sharp witty minds like his. :'(

A true baseball man through and through and somewhat of a character to boot. As a Red Sox, I remember Sparky well from both the epic 1975 World Series and his years at the helm of the Tigers. He will be missed.
