View Full Version : Ana'ole 'Ukuleles

I was having a poke around the Hawaii Craigslist (keeping an eye out for a bargain the next time we visit the in-laws) and saw some really reasonably priced ukes by Ana'ole Ukulele up there.
Seems to be direct from the maker and maybe some stock he's had sitting around (the pictures of one of the super-sopranos say 2004) They're certainly easy on the eyes.

Anybody familiar with the maker? Is he making them in Hawaii etc? Quality? Anybody have a personal experience with an Ana'ole?

I'm just always curious about makers who pop up and seem to only do local word of mouth business. (Sonny D. is another one. Though he's got one guy selling his ukes on Ebay now...)

Here's a myspace link (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=119698235) to Ana'ole (anaoleukulele@gmail.com) . . . Check Guitar Friend (http://ukulelefriend.com/index.html), Sean deals in vintage, custom and used ukes as well as production models. BTW, Sean Fernandez plays Sonny D ukes.
