My 1st Uke, my Fender Hau oli Mahogany Tenor came with D'Addario strings. The C string came wound and the rest are nylon. It's time for a change and I want to know if I have to replace it with a set that has a wound C ?

If not, what would be a good brand of strings that would work well on this model Fender?
Part numbers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Fender is now shipping these w/Aquila's. I bought a set of High-G Aquila's for the Fender Nohea that I bought for my son & they worked well. I'd bet that some Worth "clears" would work as well.

Just Strings has them here:

You might even like the new Ko’olau Gold Strings - FleaMarket Music has a set w/o wound C here:

The Worths come in a "double length" pack so you get two sets for one price... but are harder to find (at least for me).

Hope this helps!
