Check out Musicguymic, and mimsukes eBay stores, then give them a call or email with any questions. I have bought ukes from both of them and they are very helpful dealers with increadable customer service. They are both members here as well and really care, they will get you the uke that's right for you. In your price range Kala, Lanikai, Ohana, and Makai all make nice playing well made tenors.

Went with musicguymic as suggested.Spent a hundred more than planned but got the solid mahogany Kal tenor w/case and free shipping.I had wanted to get one with a pick up because I have a big mahogany leslie tone cabinet that I thought might sound pretty neat with its slow and fast swirling bass speaker and horns but ended up just getting the acoustic.I guess I can add a mic some day...Mike
