We played at an antique tractor show this weekend. I was fascinated with the old stationay engines. We played 39 songs on Sat and 33 on Sunday, I was worn out, but got a John Deere hat. Super nice people, and very creative. Had tractor pulls, lawn mower races, lawn mower pulls, one dude had a 340 HP lawn mower!!

So if you think UAS is bad check out the TAS (no hanging this stuff on the wall, so show these pics to you wife next time you buy a uke) Here is a video of some HUGE engines folks restored and keep in their yard (plus a video of us)

My father in law would have been in heaven with all those tractors! There's a huge tractor pagent that lasts all week in upstate NY.
What was the lady in the back playing...bass, cello, didn't really look like a traditional neck hard to tell in the photos. Looks like a fun time. Thanks for sharing!

That's Lynn, she is playing a "Bucket Bass". You can see her near the end of the video.

Thank you Stan! On the hour the confederate recreationists would shoot off the cannon, even thought we tried to be ready it would still scare us. It was so loud it broke some of the windows in the museum that was located in the lot next to the cannon.

Talk bout going out with a Bang!

We have a local fall fair that usually has a display of steam-powered farm equipment. Some of the equipment is HUGE. Noisy, too. But beautiful, if you like industrial design.

Thanks... I didn't realize the bucket was part of her instrument... I had to look it up.. interesting the things I am learning here that aren't uke related!

Awesome band, I can see why you were tired after the two days...you jam. Fun band, great video. I was listening to each of the tractors and was thinking of all the songs that could be played with the rhythm of the engines:)
Thanks,
DAP
