B.B. King - Sweet Sixteen (Live in '74)
My absolute favorite guitarist and "King of the Blues." This man doesn't play the guitar; he makes Lucille sing and scream. Probably the biggest influence on me musically.

Jimi Hendrix - Red House
There's no real arguing of it; Jimi Hendrix is the best guitarist out there. B.B. may be my favorite, but Jimi is just simply the best.

Kristian Matsson - Where Do My Bluebirds Fly
Know through his moniker "The Tallest Man on Earth" this man is my favorite artist. His voice, his lyrics, and his guitar playing all strike a chord with me like no other.

These guys make my top 3.

I'm not much of a guitarist, but I'm a good listener. So, in no particular order and with no explanation:
Jimmy Page; Richard Thompson; Brian May; David Gilmour; Alex Lifeson; George Harrison; Pete Townsend; Martin Barre; Steve Howe; lots more I am forgetting...

Tripple the motion...... CARLOS SANTANA.......... Best concert ever,1970, Winterland , San Francisco!!!!!!!!!

1. Django Reinhardt...not only the best right hand, but the best left hand too, with essentially only two usable fingers
2. Wes Montgomery...no pick, no fingers...just a thumb
3. Johnny Smith...beautiful expression and amazing chords

I know this is going to seem weird. But my friend showed me some stuff on Andy Taylor (guitarist for Duran Duran). That dude shreds.

At the moment, Pat Metheny, and Mike Keneally

Gosh I can't find a good quality audio of Metheny and his orchestrion, he controls every instrument and it's not pre-scripted, he just improvises, it is AMAZING to see in person.
Keneally is also incredible to see in person, this is a video someone took from when I saw him play, I really didn't think I'd like him at first, but I got super into his stuff, he has such a wide variety and is incredibly talented.

Metheny:

Mike Keneally: These videos really don't do him the justice he deserves

Peter Green.Listen to any of the 'real' Fleetwood Mac
stuff before they became a second rate AOR band!

B.B. King called Peter Green the scariest guitarist he'd ever heard. In a GOOD way. The guitar on "Rattlesnake Shake" is gut-wrenching.
