I just got my Lanikai yesterday and I noticed that my G and A strings both have some sticky residue in a couple of spots. Would it be ok to use a little all purpose cleaner on them or is there a better product. They are Aquila strings. Thanks.

The Aquila strings are generally a little rough. Any sticky residue could be cleaned with a mild detergent and water - just keep the uke dry. Good luck.

Thanks. It basically looks like some of the wood finish transferred to the strings. I will try a little soapy water on a microfiber cloth to avoid water to uke contact.
