I took my ukulele to school today and it rained. It sprinkled, not pour down, just a few drops.. like a normal sprinkle

does that effect the ukulele at all? im thinking it would.

What kind of ukulele?

As long as the water didn't sit there, it should be ok. Although it might be another reason to buy more ukuleles.

Should be fine. It's not like you used it as a boat paddle.

Don't use your soundhole for a cupholder, dude. And you gripe about a few raindrops ;)

The headstock makes a great beer bottle opener though.

The general rule of thumb is simple. If you ever get more than 3 drops of water on your ukulele, you are required by UKE law to buy a new one of equal or greater value. So why are you waiting, get on ebay today!

BEST excuse in the book.
or, well, close to it.

When friend spills drink into your ukulele, calls for immediate execution!

to save money, put it infront of your parents doorstep so when they walk out and step on it, they take the blame and replace the ukulele... then u can bring up all the times they might owe u money and get a kamaka out of it :P

... it more than likely won't ever work... maybe..

Update on Uke Law: Change from 3 drops of water on uke, go buy new one - change to, if you look out your window and see any rain falling at all, go immediately to ebay and buy a new ukulele. END: breaking news. . . .

deach, if you don't happen to have a cheapie uke close by, could you pour water on a picture of a cheapie uke? Would that count?

Speaking of destroying Ukuleles, here's a funny little video Rigk from Risa did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFFwXfZGISY

If you do that, then you've got to buy 77 more ukuleles. ;)

Is a frog's ass water tight?

Yes, we believe it is.

Too obscure?

I'm a little leery of Capital Punishment in this instance. Seems a bit harsh.

I am however fully in favor of a quick knuckle punch to the arm with the force of the blow in direct relation to the amount and stickiness of the beverage in question.

It's hitting that 100th post, the grey hairs are just a bonus.

i had somthing similar happen except it was a down poor, i was so paranoid i wraped my ukulele in its bag case, then that in my jacket, then that in my back pack, i carried all my books in a plastic bag. i was soked, but my ukulele stayed nice and dry :D. looking back i probly went a little overboard lol:)

but a little water never hurt no one just dont let the water sit.
