First of all let me start out with what I need advice on the most. Singing and not messing up my strumming pattern... I can't even hum the melody without screwing up the strumming pattern.

Next... the actual song, particularly the notes played. I learned from this site: http://ukulelehunt.com/2007/08/28/beirut-the-penalty/

The first two chords of the song on the site are C(0003) and e/C (0007). And I learned it like that. But then I started watching videos of Zach Condon playing and he looks to play it differently.

Instead of playing a C(0003) it looks like he's mashing the F(2010) and C together(2013) and the e/C he is definitely playing 0407 as opposed to 0007. Also you'll notice he only drops down to the 7th for the 2nd chord of the song and never again, he replaces it with a C(0003).... which I have to admit makes the Em transition a lot easier. I have also seen versions of him opening up with an F which leads me to believe that he may be doing that instead.

I've memorized this song from the chord chart I posted. Can anyone give me some advice on how to sing and play and the correct tablature for the intro to the song?
