we had a great time at charlotte's children's hospital! thank you so much to all of you who were able to come and share the love & aloha with the little kids.

we were even able to buy two ukes that we gave away. one went to the hospital's music program so that lots of kids could enjoy it for years to come. the other went to just the right kid--his favorite color, red, even happened to be the uke's color! (we got ours from mim's ukes!)

Christmas is about lots of things. one key aspect is giving of yourselves, rather than getting.

there's still time! call a nursing home or children's hospital. get a group together or go give a solo performance. they would appreciate anything you can give. imagine being stuck in a hospital at Christmas with tubes going in and out of you. what if you were in a nursing home and your family won't get to come by or even call again this Christmas?

smile a lot and do your best. perfection is not the goal! it's all about the true meaning of Christmas.

give something away this Christmas!

mele kalikimaka!

Bless you guys for your lovely act of love and generosity, and thanks for encouraging us and sharing your story. Those children must have had a ball; and the little fellow has been given the gift of music which lasts a lifetime.

Just thinking, wasn't there a baby a born at Christmas time who taught us it is more blessed to give than receive? Hmmm...what was His name again?:)
