Recently picked up a lightly used Kelii koa soprano. The strings that it came with (which I think were the original stings, (black stings - hilo's maybe) didn't really impress me. I tried several different brands and ended up with Worth Brown's on it. With the Worth Browns, it really sounds nice. This is my first koa uke and perhaps that's why I'm liking the sound so much. The action is very nice and the intonation seems spot on. Not sure how well the rosewood nut and saddle are going to hold up but I'll gladly replace them with the same if they do wear out to keep the same sound. I would definitely recommend this uke for someone looking for a nice sounding hawaiian ukulele on a budget.
