slotted head stock? is that why it looks like that? I like that look but if it is bad then no.

Lanikai does not . . . only the 6 and 8 string models have slotted headstock. Same with Kala (?). Unless somebody knows or has any other info.
 
i actually am awaiting one of these from musicians friend right now.

i havent played it, and am curious to see how it sounds.
i should be getting it this week or next.
