This evening I went to my inlays house and I brought my Uke. I've only been playing for a few months, but I know a few songs and enough chords that sound nice together to have a good time for a while. It just songaporned that another relative purchased a new acoustic guitar today and brought it to show it off. Well, another guy there happened to be a very talented guitarist. He was playing Blackbird beautifully when I walked into the room. I was awed at how well e could play. I listened for a while and he invite me to take out my Uke an play. I took it out an started strumming. We ended up playing for some time just kind o jamming out. It was incredible. I still have a ton to learn, but I wanted to share my experience with my new friends on the UkuleleUnderground. I hope that each of you had a chance to enjoy the evening as much as I did. Be well, be safe, and enjoy your holidays!!!

Aloha Mendel, Thanks for sharing. Sounds like a great time! Merry Christamas & Happy New Year to you & yours!

Good on you having the confidence to join in with someone good.
One of the things I like about (most) musicians is that they're incrdibly generous. They just want to play really and they don't care in it's CFG or a complicated jazz progression.

I love how as an inexperienced strummer all I have to do is keep time and the gun pickers enjoy themselves and do their thang and we - we - sound great!
