To you it looks like "To:" but that's ancient Himalayan script. Loosely translated: Without you, my world stops turning and the sun implodes.

Yours translated - Goodbye Cliff!

i'm still not sure what I think of I Want to Write a Song...

I want to write a song
to make a man feel like driving for hours
I want to write a song
to ride the nut-brown curve of her hip
and catch in calloused fingertips
to flow down these ridges
to the valley below
to be counted like waterfalls

that's some sexiness right there.

it must be cuz my dad doesn't have chickens, and that I haven't learned to be silent yet.

I know it's all poetic...but it just doesn't really keep attentive like the rest of the album.

I think maybe if Aldrine had done it been the narrator...dunno?

Got mine today and am loving it! Couldn't listen to it at work, so I'm still having my first listen now, but am loving every minute of it! I really can't pick a favourite, cause I'd have to list at least eight if I tried to pick one at the moment. Great work Aldrine!!

I've been listening to it at work for the past two days from my iPod. Is it just me, or is the "minutes" track really really short? Maybe i just ripped it wrong?

But Red and Silky, is one of the greatest songs on that album, I could see that song being played on the radio here (I say try sending a copy of the CD to KCCN FM 100 or to one of the other local stations. Uke on a stick and Cecilia are close seconds after Red and Silky, for me.

As for "I want to write a song" at first, I was like, WTH is this? But the song grew on me. It's not quite a song, but it's a very reflective tribute and it's really kind of cute when you understand the references that he is making.

No, I don't think you ripped it wrong (unless I did too). It's only 41 seconds on mine.

Maybe it should be renamed "Seconds"

"Minutes" is the quick song you hear at the beginning of the Uke Minutes vids.

Ah no wonder it sounded familiar. I knew I had heard it before, and I had thought that it was a prior intro to Snowflakes or something like that. But haha, Seconds it is. I remember the first time I heard it on shuffle on my ipod, and was like...what just happened? Thought my 5th Gen video was finally having hard drive problems. Even more confusion when I got to I want to write a song...right after blasting Lolli Lolli.
