Identify this uke

This soprano uke has been around my house for as long as I can remember, but I do not know its' origins or value. It is stamped "Made in Germany" on the inside, which would probably date it pre-WW2. It has a plastic fretboard with a zero fret, like my Flea :



Anyone seen a uke like this before?

It looks a lot like my 1950s era Harmony, plastic fretboard and all - but without the painted top. and the Harmony is Made in USA.

It's not painted from what I can tell -- more like a sunburst stain.
The two ukes are otherwise remarkably similar. Thanks.
