anybody remember the Old 97's? one of my favorite alt-country bands from back in the day.

I love the Old 97's and still listen to them a lot.

Slick, do you listen to any of Rhett Miller's solo stuff? it's really good too.
 
Yeah, I like his solo stuff, but he doesn't seem to have the raw edgyness (is that a word?) as with The 97's. I haven't heard the CD they just released so that might have changed too..

Anyway thanks for the vids and keep 'em coming. Nothing better than a country uke!

thanks Michelle! so Ben Lee covered it? i'll have to look that up. i think i've settled on a B.L. song to cover. i'll keep you posted.:)
