Totally want a sanshin for my birthday

I'd love to get a sanshin this year. Its awesome, and I sorta have a 'thing' for eastern instruments. Anyone on here ever played one or know where they can be ordered that's within the US? I can get it from ASOVIVA but that's fairly pricey and international shipping only adds to that.

It's either this or try for a RISA Les Paul (in sunburst of course!) but those are maaaaaaaaaaddd expensive.

@ Uncle Leroy Are we talking about the instrument I know as Shamisen? If so I'd love to know how to get hold of one.. Tried finding one in Norway. Ended up with a banjo instead. But I want one so bad after hearing Yoshida Brothers..
