View Full Version : DIY practice amp

I don't play an electric uke, but I wanted to build me a small practice amp for my guitar to use without having to drag out the big amp. I have seen DIY projects using computer amplified speakers as practice amps. That's not what this is, I built this with my own built small audio amp, put inside a spare book shelf speaker I had laying around. It is powered by a 9v battery, but can also be powered by a wall wart too. I didn't install a volume pot, because I just use the volume and tone controls on my guitar, but you can if you need one. This might be a cool idea for ya if you need a small portable practice amp.

nice idea. I've got old speakers by the box load lying around in my shed - I'll try it
