Hi all, I just received my Uke today and the first thing I noticed was the strings have been tied off in such a fashion. Shouldn't each string be seperately cut such that the tuning of one doesn't affect the other?

Thanks guys! I was just worried because I've been correcting the tuning over the past 2 hours quite frequently and I thought it was due to the way those ends were tied up.

yup, you can expect that from new strings. they're still stretching so you'll have to constantly tune it for a few days. after they settle in, it will be much less painful.

Wow thanks hoosierhiver, I am new to ukes and that stretching has really increased how long my uke stays in tune.
