Looks like it would be ridiculously heavy. If you can get it for a good price, I'd say go for it, just for the coolness factor.

That's wacky!

I checked the listing, they're asking $425 - it looks like this is being sold out of a sewing/design studio. I wonder if there's any connection? Maybe sewing machine parts?

If it still up for sale, I might try to get downtown and check it out this weekend.

Kinda reminds me of Keef's Briggs and Stratton ukulele build.

That there is the original Iron Ukulele. It morphed gradually into the Great Mush-Uke - an iron and wood hybrid, and then into the rosbilt TinCan banjo / ukulele.
