Back in December I bought a box of figured maple oddments from a local mandolin luthier. This is the first instrument I've made from them.
It's a soprano with maple back, sides & head veneer; spruce top; cedar neck and a rosewood fretboard. There's just a single cream plastic binding strip around the top, to protect the spruce.
I was going for a "blonde" look with this one, hence the cream binding and white Gotoh tuners. I reckon this is the best build quality I've produced so far. Hope you like it!
