Looks like the head and the hoop are basically a Remo PTS series hand drum. The heads are pre-tensioned pretty tight and non-adjustable. Probably a fiberskyn head, plastic but made to look like a skin head.
Fiberskin is nice stuff - I have it on a djembe. I suppose that means if it ever goes loose it would take a new pre-tensioned head . Small enough cost I guess.
Pretty cool! I like the open back and the price seems reasonable.
When they start making the concert neck with a plastic fretboard I'll probably need to get one.
I love it - love the minimalist look - sorry trad banjo lovers - I play an Ozark banjolele, and I love it, but the idea of a simple banjo without tensioners and a fluke head - well, droooooool!
