tuning pocket uklele

Ive read that you should tune the pocket ukulele to f. Do you use the same cord patterns/shapes as when its tuned in c? If the answer is no. Then would I be able to use a chord transposition chart for the chord patterns Or does that only work for ukulele tuned the same? Thanks for helping a beginner.

Yes, same chord shapes. The chord "names" change but not the fingerings.

Are there specific strings available for these little ones?

Are they kind on small kids’ hands? Or is the string tension too tough?
