Anybody know when KoAloha stopped using the tuners with knobs and logo and the large silver thumbscrew and switched to the current amber knobs with logo and no thumbscrew?

Thanks,
John

It was about 2007-2008. My first uke was a pikake model with the Schaller tuners. It has the huge screws on top because you occassionally have to open it up and replace the cotton inside. I sold it on for a shinier model in 2008, and that one had the tuners they use today. Confirmed with iphoto metadata to get the dates right. :)

When it was exactly, maybe the Koaloha guys will know.

I had a January 2007 KoAloha soprano that had the logo tuners and thumbscrews.

Doesn't answer your question directly, but it narrows it down a bit.

That's close enough - I was just looking for a ballpark answer.

Thanks,
John
