Tenor preferred. Wood or metal body. Case or gig bag appreciated. Anyone have one for sale? I don't have a lot for trade these days... so it's a purchase.
I don't see that he's selling a resonator, just a plain ol' uke. I have a couple of Ponos - but I don't think they make a resonator uke (will have to check their web site).
Taxes? I'm in Canada. I think if we didn't invent taxes, we certainly perfected the idea. And shipping costs? Oy! Don't get me started...
But I'm resigned to the bureaucracy. Now I'm just searching for a resonator uke... taxes and all.
dude, check out this ad for a wood resonator tenor uke from the fleamarketmusic.com site that was made by a guy named Russ Morin. It looks very cool! He's selling it for $739 + shipping.
Big Rusty Tenor Resonator Ukulele
This is my latest ukulele. It is a tenor (17" scale). Body is tiger striped maple, neck is mahogany, fretboard is Macassar ebony, head plate is almond. Tuners are 5-Star planetary with ebony knobs and resonator is National. 3 ply binding on top. This uke sounds great and has awesome volume. Intonation is excellent. Go to youtube.com and search for 'Big Rusty Ukulele'. There are 3 videos featuring this uke. You can also visit russmorin.com Canvas covered, hard shell case included.
I actually like the way Russ' uke looks, but there are some negative comments online about sound. So I'm looking to either a Reso (Republic) or Johnson I suppose... A National is outside my price range...
