I have a story which I wanted to share. I don't know if you know but I work in a prison which houses foreign nationals so have lots of different cultures and languages to adjust to as best we can. Today I was asked to supervise a music group by a group who specialise in making music with prisoners. I went t here just to observe the group but was asked to play some drums. Not being a drummer I picked up a guitar and started to jam some chords. Two hours later we had had an incredible jam session where music was the only thing that the prisoners shared. Another prisoner turned up who was incredible on guitar and was his African church guutarist. What I'm trying to say is that it was truly enlightening. At one point I looked up and saw everyone in the room in the zone musically it was really amazing to me that with all there problems and aggression and worries they have that we all shared that moment together.
