Well, I'd like to hear "What's The New Mary Jane?" on ukulele...

He's done this for the last few years. I went last year, and it was a benefit for Yoko Ono. Year before that was Warren Buffett. :D

kinda weird that it benefits someone rich. ( i know it they turn around and donate it so it actually doesn't) grabs peoples attention when you say that I guess.

would be neat to see.

I went for the first time this year as part of the Sunday uke mob mass playing of "Do it in the Road" and "All together Now." The series has actually been going on for nine years. There is a fundraiser every year for someone who really doesn't need it. That's the joke. This year's benefitee was Mark Zuckerberg. The Warren Buffet benefit had an interesting end since Buffet used the proceeds he was given to buy ukuleles for a school near him. He then went and gave a uke lesson to some of the kids. I think all the songs have been recorded by now. You can listen to them at: http://beatlescompleteonukulele.com There are some really interesting takes on classic songs.

Great songs, but way overdone for me.

Great songs, but way overdone for me.

I'd recommend searching around a little bit. Each artist does a different take. If you're looking for something simpler, check out Patsy Monteleone's "Strawberry Fields." Patsy is one of my absolute favorite uke pals.
