Dropped tuning?

I've been experimenting with my uke tuned F#, B, D#, G#, and it actually sounds richer. I kinda like it.

I used to tune my Kala jazz tenor that way with Aquila strings, sounded very nice. I've now put Aquila DGBE strings on it, but still miss that mellow sound. Have you tried going down one more step, that sounds good too.

I use it on some of my ukes...and yes it does...also easier to keep to in my voice range...too

I keep a banjo uke tuned to F Bb D G. It has a fuller sound. More sustain and not so tinky, tinky (?) sounding.
