I am seriously considering two ukes. One I know is, or could be valuable the other, I know nothing about. The 1st is a 1950's era Martin. The 2nd is a Favilla Bros.

Both are in need of restoration. The Martin has been compromised however by sanding the finish. Is this still valuable and restorable in your opinon?

This next is the Favilla, also 1950s and in need of restoration. I know nothing about this one.

Any info and/or opinions much appreciated.

Maybe post this in the Luthiers section and get the experts opinion.

Aloha Tudorp,
Both look restorable..the martin looks like it has a crack on the side upper bout...and the Favilla is just a good sounding as a Martin....some better...
they look like good canidates for restoration...and definetly worth buying and saving....how much they going for?

So far, both are in the 2 digit figure ea. But I doubt they stay that way. But, I am keeping my fingers crossed.
