The fine folks at Mainland did a wonderful job on this one. I think there are less than 10 available at the moment but more are expected on the Spring shipment for Mainland. It really vibrates, this pineapple.

He has to tell us about THAT painting! I've told him that it is a tad more interesting than the usual view we get in video reviews of a closeup of the uke w/someones belly behind it! :)

Woohoo - now, really make my day and tell me that a mango long neck soprano is not far behind... :begging:

Interesting. Lots of history reprised there. It reminds me a lot of some of the early pineapples with the rope binding. I wonder if it has a Spanish heel, and one piece sides as some of the early ones did as well?

After Mike's review, I was looking at pineapple construction pictures last night and noticed that the Koaloha Pineapple Sunday has one piece sides, except for the little glued on pieces that stick out. No Spanish heel on the K, but an interesting headblock construction, and of course the uni-brace.

The Ka-Lai pineapple I have is like that but go figure it was made in the Kamaka factory way back when.
