Ok. so for a couple of days now i have been trying to play like a simple song on my ukulele (its like a really dodgy one off ebay). But no matter how hard i try i can never get the write strum patterns and like how many strums i play for each like note.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aloha EddyAU,
Try playing Skip to my Lou...it an easier song with just two chords and One chord in a line....check out beginners section..under beginners always ask I have a sample two lines...try that out..Have Fun and enjoy!!Happy Strummings...if you like it ..let me know...Good Luck..MM Stan

A good way to start is with a Simple Up/Down stroke. Use the strum to keep time 1 and 2 and 3 and 4. Down on the 1234, up on the 'ands'.
Get your chords and transitions down, strumming will happen kind of on its own. If you try to think strum, chords, etc. you are going to be on overload and will struggle.
Good luck and keep at it, it does get easier.
