I don't have a pineapple and after playing a Kala watermelon in my lms i thought it would be nice to have one. there is one on ebay and the lister says it has the gold label but a sticker on the back says fabricated in Japan, finished in HI. I know they did this with the KKeiki's, i had one, but did they also do this with other models? it appears so. how do these compare? thinking of bidding on this , so timely advice appreciated.

Am I correct in assuming all gold labels in the 70's were made in Japan and setup in Hawaii?

Last year of the gold labels were 1969...I'm not sure but I seen the pineapple and the standard shaped kamaki keiki from japan and finished in hawaii...in the back of the headstock
above and between the tuner should have a sticker if it's still there..and the front will say Kamka Keiki..... hope it helps...Happy Strummings..MM Stan..

I must be breathing too many fumes trying to stay warm. this is a white label. and definately KK not KKeiki. I got it mixed up with another I was looking at.
